2030年教育路线图

伦敦—今年早些时候,我访问了位于约旦的扎塔里(Zaatari)难民营。我遇见了一些儿童,他们告诉我教育对他们意味着什么。对被迫离开家园、失去一切的叙利亚年轻人来说,教育的意义远不止合格或分数;而是寄托着对未来的希望。

扎塔里难民营以及全世界的数百万儿童是全球教育机会融资国际委员会(International Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity)工作的核心。我在去年9月加入了该委员会,它致力于联合国可持续发展目标中的第四项,即到2030年“确保包容和平等的高质量教育并推动全人类的终身学习机会。”

对于太多的儿童而言,这个目标仍然遥不可及。有如此多的发展问题需要我们关注,决策者应该时刻铭记,教育不但本身是一种好东西(good);而且也是其他众多发展收益的催化剂。
