开放疟疾研究

伦敦——近年来,抗击疟疾的战斗取得了重大的进步。据世界卫生组织统计,疟疾的死亡人数自2000年后已经因为诊断测试和治疗方法的改进而惊人地实现了60%的下降

可以肯定依然有大量的工作要做,但(在疟疾流行及非流行国家)新发感染和死亡人数下降凸显了政府、商业及非盈利性机构以及学术科学和医学之间合作的力量。如果没有这样的伙伴关系,在抗击这种致命疾病时取得进展根本就是不可能的。除在抗疟战场采取协调行动外,在研究和开发新一代药物和疫苗的科学家间增强开放及合作正在为取得更多进步铺平道路。

幸运的是,这一点已经引起了科学家的注意,结果是出现并推广了研究和开发的颠覆性新方法。所谓的“开放式创新”彻底改变了传统研发模式并消除了合作道路上的障碍。基于总体可以大于各部分之和的认识,开放式创新是一种共享高于一切的工作方法。
