但疟疾仍然严重威胁着数百万非洲民众的幸福。2015年,全球约有2.12亿民众感染疟疾,其中47%的病例集中在仅仅六个非洲国家。约429,000人——其中多数是五岁以下的儿童——在那一年死于疟疾,其中92%的死亡病例出现在非洲且40%发生在仅仅两个国家,尼日利亚和刚果民主共和国。因此,迫切需要加快消灭疟疾的进度——我们的目标是永远将疟疾消灭掉。
