中东医疗卫生体系的兴衰沉浮

西雅图——困扰地区的政治动乱和内战似乎已经逆转了中东和北非阿拉伯国家数十年来取得的大部分进展。特别是在此前一直呈稳步改善态势的埃及、约旦、利比亚、叙利亚、突尼斯和也门的医疗卫生体系,这样的逆转尤其明显。

2010年前,这些国家预期寿命延长、传染病负担降低,婴儿及孕产妇死亡率改善。但今天,诸多地区冲突造成的创伤和痛苦已经加剧了这些国家医疗卫生系统所受的破坏。
