学校教育与巴基斯坦社会变革

伊斯兰堡—教育,尤其是学校教育的重要性怎么强调都不过分。中小学教育的普及与加快经济增长、减少贫困和增强收入平等直接相关,而教育更是与社会的多样化和包容性、人力资本的升级、机会的增加以及自由与福利的巩固紧密相关。因此,作为巴基斯坦总理,我将教育普及作为国家日程的重中之重。

教育影响人们认识周边世界、理解问题以及寻找问题解决方案的方式。教育让人们更加能够认识到他们的权利与义务,影响他们如何在社区内与人互动以及与国家和国家机构互动。最重要的是,教育让人们能够批判性思考和质疑传统智慧,从而让他们超越偏见、传说和历史传统的桎梏。

从这个角度讲,教育是社会进步的重要推动力量。教育也是实现我在两年前开始执政时所作的承诺的关键——为巴基斯坦建立新的社会变化框架,这个框架将确保所有国民机会公平和社会正义,停止剥削穷人、阻碍他们发挥潜力。
