المدارس والتغير الاجتماعي في الباكستان

اسلام اباد-لا يمكن التقليل من اهمية التعليم وخاصة التعليم المدرسي. ان توسيع التعليم الابتدائي والثانوي غير مرتبط بالنمو الاقتصادي والقضاء على الفقر وتحسن المساواة في الدخل فحسب ولكن يبدو ان التعليم ايضا مرتبط بشكل وثيق بالاثراء الاجتماعي والاندماج وتحسين الرأسمال البشري وزيادة الفرص وتعزيز الحرية والرعاية ولهذا السبب وكرئيس لوزراء الباكستان فلقد وضعت حصول الجميع على التعليم على قمة اولويات الاجندة الوطنية.

ان التعليم يؤثر على الطريقة التي ينظر الناس الى العالم حولهم وعلى كيفية فهمهم للقضايا وايجاد الحلول لمشاكلهم والتعليم يجعلهم اكثر ادراكا لحقوقهم وواجباتهم ويؤثر على الطريقة التي يتفاعلون بها ضمن مجتمعاتهم ومع الدولة ومؤسساتها وفوق ذلك كله التعليم يمكنهم من التفكير بطريقة نقدية والتشكيك بالأحكام المترسخة مما يجعلهم يرتقون بانفسهم فوق التحيز والخرافة والموروثات التاريخية المقيدة.

بهذا المعنى فإن التعليم هو محرك رئيس للتقدم الاجتماعي وهو المفتاح لتحقيق الوعد الذي قطعته على نفسي عندما توليت مهام منصبي قبل عامين وهو انشاء اطار جديد للتغير الاجتماعي في الباكستان وهو اطار يتحقق من تساوي الفرص والعدالة الاجتماعية للجميع ويوقف استغلال الفقراء ويعزز من امكانياتهم.
