人皆有食

伦敦——随着过去十年里食品价格翻了一番,粮食安全问题又重新提上了国际议程。世界怎样才能提高产量再养活10亿人?如何才能提高农业产量?怎样以最佳方式发展水产养殖?

遗憾的是,关注供应并没有意识到问题的全部。全球卡路里产量已经两倍于人类的需求。据测算全球粮食产量的三分之一遭到了浪费。贫困国家损失粮食是因为仓储能力匮乏和供应链衔接不善(比方说缺少冷藏设备);富裕国家供应链也同样浪费粮食,而且消费者也扔掉大量的食物。

此外,许多时候导致饥饿和营养不良的是贫困,而不是市场上粮食匮乏。成百上千万人根本买不起所需的食物,就算供应量增加情况可能也还是这样。最迫切的粮食安全任务是整顿粮食需求,让穷人、特别是最脆弱的母亲和儿童得到有营养的食物。
