化石燃料问题众多。它们不仅成本高昂,也常常是政治动荡和供应波动的源头。随着全球化石能源消费量的增长,与其相关的成本很可能会急剧上升。最严重的问题在于,就碳排放量而言,化石能源带来的成本庞大而不可持续。事实上,相比化石能源对于大气中二氧化碳含量增加的推动作用,与之有关的其他问题已开始相形见绌了。
