El fin de la segunda revolución rusa

MOSCU: Tarde o temprano todas las revoluciones se acaban. La gente se harta tanto del crimen y la incertidumbre que “la ley y el orden” se convierten en sus metas principales. En este punto la sociedad o se rinde a la dictadura o forja un nuevo pacto social que acepta los resultados centrales de la revolución.

En Rusia, la revolución de los 1990 ha entrado claramente a su fase de estabilización: hay una aceptación generalizada del mercado y la propiedad privada; el periodo de debilidad de la autoridad estatal y del gobierno está dando lugar a un poder estatal más fuerte, mientras una sociedad exhausta otorga a los gobernantes de hoy un mayor margen de maniobra.

Así, actualmente existe una posibilidad real para crear un nuevo pacto político-social. No obstante, queda una pregunta crítica: ¿cómo utilizarán los gobernantes rusos su poder renovado y su libertad de maniobra? Se encuentran ahora en posición de llevar a cabo una política constructiva y de abordar problemas que han sido ignorados durante mucho tiempo. Sin embargo, existe también el peligro de que esos poderes forjen un régimen antidemocrático; que a la estabilización le siga el autoritarismo.
