达沃斯——今天主流经济模式的构建基础是两大基本假设:第一,人类从本质上是自私的,靠理性行为争取实际利益——这就是所谓的理性经济人假说;还有其次,亚当·斯密有关 “看不见的手”的比喻意在表明,利己主义行为能在无意中促进公共利益。这两个假设显然是错误的。

为了解决气候变化和全球性不平等等迫切的全球问题,我们必须要重新思考主导经济模式,引入其他激励机制,借以改变人们的行为。上述以心理和神经学为基础的实证研究将引导社会培养爱心意识,建立一种全方位反应人类心理的新型“关怀经济学”。

神经学研究表明,关爱及隶属机制对人的驱动力与权力成就感或消费欲望一样强。毕竟,我们已经进化到能够构筑稳定的合作关系,建立信任感并照顾子女,所有这些都离不开同情心和同理心。一旦我们意识到上述关怀激励机制是所有人的共性——其实多数动物也有着同样的反应——这个世界就开始发生翻天覆地的变化。
