中国股市在2月27日的急速下挫显然对全球主要的股票市场产生了持久的消极影响。当星期二格林尼治时间7点交易结束时,上证综合指数下降了8.8%,这是中国股市10年以来最大的单日跌幅。

上证指数下跌后,其他国家的股市随之出现了连锁反应。在新加坡,海峡时报指数收市时下跌了2.3%,在孟买,Sensex 30指数当日收市时下跌1.3%,在莫斯科,RTSI指数收市时下跌3.3%,伦敦的FTSE 100指数则在交易日结束时下跌2.3%。此外,到格林尼治时间21点交易结束时,圣保罗指数以及纽约的道琼斯工业指数也分别下降了6.6%和3.3%。

以上股市下跌都非常值得关注¾举例来讲,在道琼斯指数中较大的单日下跌,从1950年1月以来只发生了35次,也就是平均每20个月才发生一次。不仅如此,两个星期后,与2月26日交易结束时相比,所有中国以外股市的跌幅都从4.3%扩大到7.8%。
