欧盟:从傲慢到报应

巴黎—起初人们用热忱、自豪甚至是骄傲来欢迎欧盟的 《里斯本条约》 。它承诺了一条比它所取代的、命运多舛的《宪法条约》更为现实合理的前进道路。许多它的支持者也希望其前身的核心特点—“ 宪政 爱国主义”的理念—仍然鲜活。但《里斯本条约》却给欧盟带来了混乱。问题出在哪里?

宪政爱国主义是由两位德国哲学家斯滕贝尔格和雅士培提出的理念。其目的是在德国代替由于纳粹历史而彻底失信的民族主义。同样,随着欧盟演进为一个联邦国家,其忠诚的公民会拒绝基于种族亲缘性的民族主义并转而认同联邦宪法的民主原则。

这份幻想被爱尔兰的选民们毫不含糊地拒绝了。所以我们似乎有必要提醒自己,将“傲慢(hubris)”这个词传到西方世界的古希腊人将其视为一种悲剧的凶兆。它预示着衰败或是“报应”。
