目前大家都有这么一种共识,那就是通过各国政府和央行提供的巨额财政信贷,金融刺激以及推出的对金融机构的支持性政策,才使得2008-2009年的这场经济危机不至于沦为另一次的经济大萧条。原因是他们吸取了1930年代的那场大萧条和1990年代日本那场几近经济萧条的教训。

正因为此,于是大家开始讨论如今的复苏会是什么方式:V型(快速回升到正增长),U型(缓慢的复苏)或是W型(双底型)。而在2008年秋天和2009年春天之间,那时经济危机刚刚发生,当时的人们都担心会出现L型的经济形势,一场金融生死保卫战在所难免。
