正确认识历史

五月九日将会是莫斯科最重要的庆典。这是战胜纳粹德国的60周年纪念日,为此而牺牲生命的人们将被隆重地纪念。到目前为止,一切顺利。但有几个国家将会缺席聚会。两位波罗的海国家的总统决定不出席,因为他们的东道主拒绝承认第二次世界大战结束的历史比战胜希特勒有着更多的内容:由于希特勒和斯大林在战争之初达成的交易,他们的民族不得不面对长达半个世纪的占领。这个交易就是将东欧在纳粹德国和苏联之间瓜分的所谓1939年《莫洛托夫与里宾特洛甫协议》(Molotov-Rippentrop Pact)。

而我对第三位波罗的海国家总统—拉脱维亚的瓦伊拉·维凯-弗赖贝加(Vaira Vike-Freiberga)—表示由衷的敬佩。她决定前往莫斯科,向值得致敬的人致敬,同时也大声指出不应被隐藏的历史。通过这样的方式,她表明了她的国家作为北约和欧盟成员的强硬立场,同时也使自己处在道义上的强势地位。

遗憾的是当今的俄罗斯领导人选择不对多年以来对整个波罗的海地区的发展造成破坏的《莫洛托夫与里宾特洛甫协议》加以谴责。而该协议至今仍是严重威胁俄罗斯及其波罗的海邻国之间关系的政治污染源。我认为将《莫洛托夫与里宾特洛甫协议》解释为仅仅是建立苏维埃国家安全的一种方式的说法是难以接受的。
