中国的流氓焰火

中国主席胡锦涛正在非洲访问,不仅寻求确保稳定的自然资源来源,而且还促进中国的“和平崛起。”这些访问的目的在于向世人表明中国正在世界舞台亮相,同时也要让中国看起来像是一个世界大国,受人尊重。但是,中国与苏丹、委内瑞拉以及缅甸等流氓国家交好并不有助于其寻求国际尊敬的努力,而其隐秘的军力提升以及最近在外层空间的冒险则更加于事无补。

确实,当中国军队今年一月中旬秘密并且鲁莽地向外层空间发射陆基导弹并且击毁中国的一颗老旧卫星之时,中国政府激起了从伦敦到东京直到华盛顿的愤怒。面对无可辩驳的发射证据,中国领导人经过几天的沉默之后终于不情愿地承认了中国的所作所为,但是却宣称这一“试验并不针对任何国家,也不对任何国家构成威胁。”

这样的否认正在变得不令人信服。实际上,这一危险而又不负责任的行动再一次表明,中国作为全球大国的崛起缺乏任何保证,那就是,一旦中国变得强大,它将会是一个和平的国家。中国领导人一再保证说中国的崛起只会给国际社会带来“和谐”以及和平,而这一事件则与之背道而驰。
