Le dossier encore ouvert de la parité des sexes

DAVOS – Lorsqu’il s’agit de jauger l’importance de la parité des sexes dans les milieux de travail, le message s’est clairement rendu aux dirigeants. Les sondages – dont ceux menés par mon cabinet – continuent de montrer que les chefs d’entreprises se rendent compte de la nécessité d’un traitement équitable des hommes et des femmes dans le monde du travail.

En fait, mes entretiens avec des dirigeants de grandes sociétés internationales confirment que ce dossier progresse. La plupart admettent que la question est essentielle à la réussite de leurs entreprises et ont mis en place des mesures de promotion de l’égalité des sexes dans leurs propres entreprises. Et pourtant, malgré tous ces vœux pieux, il reste beaucoup à faire avant que l’égalité des sexes ne se réalise.

Les faits parlent d’eux-mêmes. L’écart salarial existe dans tous les pays du monde, les revenus des hommes étant supérieurs à ceux des femmes pour le même emploi. De même, le pourcentage des sièges sur les conseils d’administration occupés par des femmes semblent plafonner à un peu plus que 17 %.
