发自莫斯科 —— 最近我有幸作为美国国务院 / 白宫代表团的一员访问了俄罗斯。这一行程的目的是为了促进美俄合作,推动美国“ 21 世纪国家管制”和公民外交两项政策。这东西咋一听上去有点空洞,而俄罗斯目前最感兴趣的,就是如何建立属于自己的硅谷。

俄罗斯方面认为,要达成这一目标,就要向科技公司注资并把它们安置在某所著名大学附近,然后新硅谷自然就应运而生了。美国代表团认为,俄罗斯可以藉此引入一些社会网络,进而构建一个市民社会。而在我这方面,我是带着自己一贯挑剔的眼光而来的,这些理念都是来自我在过去 20 年里每隔几个月就来一次俄罗斯所形成的经验。

我们这一行人可谓是各有来头的 9 人技术专家团,其中包括了 eBay 的首席执行官约翰·多纳霍,莫兹拉基金会主席米切尔·贝克尔,以及 Twitter 的创始人杰克·多尔西。此外还有一位我从来都没听说的演员阿什顿·库切尔。不管他名气大小,但此人却是个严谨的技术专家,而且还是个一流的沟通者。
