东京——在日本,一般在逝去49天后召开逝者的追悼会。逝者的亲友在此期间为逝者服丧哀悼。如果把仍然失踪的人计算在内,袭击日本东北地区的地震和海啸造成的死难人数现在已经上升到30,000人左右。这是日本历史上规模最大的一次自然灾害,日本全国都沉浸在深深的悼念之中。

在49天的哀悼期内,电视台为照顾观众情绪停播了不严肃的节目和华丽的广告。为我们日本人所钟爱的一年一度樱花盛放的赏花庆祝活动也已经被取消。音乐体育活动和市民聚会同样被推迟或取消。奇怪的是,美国摇滚歌手辛迪·劳博尔的演唱会或许是唯一一个没被取消的活动。

日本民众间的深厚情谊Kizuna)在这样的黑暗时刻营造出空前的团结氛围。在这么多国人遭受损失和明知还有200,000多人在疏散中心过着艰苦生活的条件下,人们无法像平常那样去享受生活,这就是情谊的一种美德。
