撤军的危险

柏林——

发动一场战争容易,想摆脱却很困难。这句公理对如今的美国来说显得尤为贴切。美国正陷于三场战争,两场是被迫发起的(阿富汗战争和“反恐战争”),另外一场(伊拉克战争)是不必要地由一届被意识形态和傲慢冲昏头脑的美国政府发动的。

美国在阿富汗或者伊拉克无法取得军事胜利;美国也无法再承受这两场战争的经济成本;国内对战争的政治支持逐渐下降。美国必须撤军,但是美国、美国在此地区的盟友以及西方为此所要付出的代价仍是未知数。
