二月二十三日,就在美国总统乔治W·布什在布鲁塞尔向美国的联盟国发表完演说之后的第二天,他在莱茵河旁的古城马恩斯会见了德国总理格哈德·施罗德。自从两国因为布什的伊拉克政策而闹翻之后,这两个过去曾对跨大西洋两岸关系举足轻重的国家终于又重新说话了。
