专业化的迷思

发自剑桥——有些想法是凭直觉的。其他一些想法说出来是如此有理有据,让人难以去否定它们。这些想法极有影响力,因为它们拥有很多非显性的影响。它们让人以不同的思维框架去看待这个世界并决定如何行动。

其中一个这样的观念就是关于城市,地区和国家应该走向专业化的问题。因为它们不能把每一件事情都做好,所以必须集中精力做自身最擅长的事情——即所谓比较优势。它们应该把一些东西做到极致,并以此换成其他地方做得更好的商品,并利用贸易获利。

但尽管有些想法是发自直觉且显而易见的,它们也可能是错误和危险的。通常情况下,它们不是你不知道的事情,而是错误地以为自己知道的事情,这会蒙蔽了你。关于城市和国家事实上专业化,并因此应当专业化的观点,就是其中的一个非常错误和危险的想法。
