利雅得—放眼当今世界,没有哪个问题比结束叙利亚内战具有更紧迫的重要性。过去两年半堪称和平、稳定和人道主义的灾难。针对平民的无差别暴力惨状难以用语言形容,也震惊了全世界。根据联合国的最新估计,超过10万叙利亚人(包括大量儿童)因为巴沙尔·阿萨德政权的罪行而丧生。

如今,两百多万叙利亚难民前往邻国,更有400万国内难民流离失所。在杀戮和平示威者、扫射居民区、处决向父老开枪的士兵以及使用化学武器的行径下,我们看到了一幅完全无视最基本国际道德和法律准则的图景。

除非世界看着屠杀继续而心安理得,叙利亚政权及其镇压工具必须清除。国际社会令人羞耻地接受了不惩罚巴沙尔及其党羽,这是世界良心的污点。西方领导人的踌躇以及中国和俄罗斯冷漠、自私而满不在乎的支持巴沙尔是他们永远无法洗脱的耻辱。伊朗对巴沙尔政权的支持不啻战争罪行。
