布拉特就任时的情况是截然不同的。那时社交媒体尚未诞生,而互联网也还没有成为被剥夺权利的沉默群体表达意见的方法。当时也还没有现在这么强的股东能动性和企业社会责任感文化。英国石油公司通用汽车公司苏格兰皇家银行已经发现全世界都在注目其所作所为并且议论纷纷,人们已经不愿接受原有的商业经营方法。
