伊拉克的贫富分化

所有观察伊拉克的人都会认为这个国家分化为什叶派、逊尼派和库尔德人派社区。但是,同样根本性的分化却发生在伊拉克的富人和穷人之间。这一分化造成的暴乱如同因种族矛盾以及反抗美军率领的军事占领所造成的一样巨大。

在伊拉克得到解放之时,大多数人,特别是穷人,开始盼望出现一位具魅力的领导人,把他们从日常生活困苦之中解救出来。他们从小在恐惧中长大,不知道民主如何在他们的社会中实施,也不知道人权组织以及其他民间组织如何可以帮助建设未来。

很快,伊拉克面临一个新的社会分化。一方面是理解如何在民主国家中运作、获得权力并且实现雄心的人们。他们学习说民主的语言,在进程中获得金钱和影响力,并取得独立组织的帮助来维护他们的权利和特权。
