又值做新年决心之季,今年尤为明显。新千年伊始之际,世界各国领导者们庄重许诺,将致力于寻求和平方案、解决贫困问题,创造一个更为清洁的环境。自那以后,全世界却目睹了无数暴力恐怖活动、饥荒成灾和环境不断恶化。2005年,我们准备调整方向。

各种新认知、科学进步、旅游和全球传播给了我们更多的选择以解决世界重大问题。去年一种叫做SARS的新疾病袭击中国,世界卫生组织协调各国政府行动,迅速控制了危险局面,至少现在已完全平息。
