When Putin and his cronies try to justify their war, it reminds me of the saying, you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig.

  Alex: I am not condoning Putin’s acts of destruction and barbarism, he unleashed in Russo-Ukrainian war. But similar wars were not absent in the decades after the World War 2. How about wars by the French in Indo-China, mindless destruction caused by bombing of Vietnam , Cambodia etc. Acts of Horrible damage, death , agony and destruction of human lives in Iraq and Afghanistan etc. etc That we’re initiated by “Christian“ nations - how about it?

    I agree. Bush, Blaire and Howard unleashed a war in Iraq that was totally unjustified, yet all three are apparently able to live in denial, even though tens of thousands died because of their mistakes. Sadly others now use this precedent to justify their own behavior. It’s a very strange world.

      Well. Reasonable men agree on that issue. Btw, Vietnam war was equally horrible! I remember when was there in Boston in a shopping mall at a time US entered Vietnam war when US president JFK decided to send 600 “technical experts” to South Vietnam to fight Commies. See what when the war ended during LBJ’s time! Just sad!
