谁输掉了泰国?

东京—泰国,东南亚最发达、最成熟的经济体,正在政治悬崖边沿徘徊。但亚洲大部分国家并没有把目光放在泰国日益高涨的无政府主义骚乱上。如此冷漠不但愚蠢,更十分危险。亚洲民主国家现在面临着美国在毛泽东入主北京和霍梅尼推翻伊朗国王时相同的紧迫问题。他们必须问一问,谁输掉了泰国?

世界上很多国家奇怪于为何如此成功的经济体会让政治失控。是什么让衣服颜色显著易辨、如黑帮般的游行大军上了街?而他们所表达的共同愤怒又往往是虚无的?

当前乱象的根源可以追溯到十多年前。2001年,前首相他信第一次在选举中获胜。他信的胜利并没有带来民主国家常见的权力更迭。相反,他的胜利标志着泰国长期处于分割状态的贫穷农村大众的政治崛起。曼谷的老牌精英成了杯弓蛇影。
