Die unerledigte Aufgabe der Gleichberechtigung

DAVOS – Wenn es um die Gleichberechtigung am Arbeitsplatz geht, ist die Botschaft eindeutig ganz oben angekommen. Umfragen, einschließlich die meines eigenen Unternehmens, zeigen beständig, dass Unternehmensführer verstanden haben, dass Männer und Frauen am Arbeitsplatz gleich behandelt werden müssen.

In Gesprächen mit erfahrenen Unternehmern aus der ganzen Welt bestätigen mir diese, dass eindeutig Fortschritte erzielt wurden. Die große Mehrheit erkennt an, dass das Thema für den Erfolg ihrer Unternehmen äußerst wichtig ist und haben Maßnahmen ergriffen, um die Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter in ihren Unternehmen zu fördern. Trotz aller schönen Worte bleibt noch viel zu tun, bevor das Ziel tatsächlich erreicht sein wird.

Die Tatsachen sprechen für sich. In allen Ländern der Welt besteht noch immer ein Lohngefälle, Männer verdienen für die gleiche Arbeit noch immer mehr als Frauen. Auch die Beteiligung von Frauen in den Vorständen scheint bei etwas über 17 Prozent zu stagnieren.
