墨西哥病在何处

墨西哥城——故乡墨西哥层出不穷的问题让我不禁想起布鲁斯·斯普林斯汀的一句歌词——“我们离家乡很远很远;家乡在那很远很远的远方。”这句歌词正是今天墨西哥人的真实感受:正常的民主、可靠的医疗卫生体系、可信的政府都已远去,不见了家乡,只剩下危机重重。

今天的墨西哥,病毒肆虐、毒贩猖獗、盗贼横行,再加上警察训练无素,有太多人为此丢了性命,太多人被犯罪团伙所挟持绑架。这场可能源自南部韦拉克鲁斯州的猪流感疫情则给墨西哥目前一团糟的局面雪上加霜。

墨西哥似乎陷入了一场过去与未来、变革与阻碍之间的、永久的、令人不安的拉锯战中。从这场猪流感疫情暴发来看,各州政府出于政治选举考虑,不愿尽快向上报告疫情,因此直到第一批猪流感病例出现三周以后,墨西哥联邦医疗卫生部门才得到消息。
