谁是明天的消费者?

发自新加坡——由于在新兴市场(尤其是中国)的销售额走低,财务数据令投资者感到忧虑,奢侈品牌公司的股价在7月大幅下挫。与此同时又有新闻报道指出印度以及中国高端购物中心的人流正不断减少。

究竟发生了什么事?许多分析家都预计说新兴市场在未来十年内都将实现指数式的增长。而今人们谈论的却是全球危机是如何减缓这些经济体发展并扼杀自由支出的。

然而奢侈品牌或是购物中心门可罗雀可不能归咎于中国经济增长的放缓。这个7.5万亿经济体的增速从今年第一季度的8.1%下降到第二季度7.6%的表现根本无法引起任何恐慌。此外,2/3的减速是源自于投资降低而不是消费疲软。就中国所有的长期结构性问题看来,它还未滑入衰退。
