欧洲的乐观主义者在哪里?

欧盟一直都非常成功,以至于你可能认为在欧盟成立50周年纪念日之际人们应该上街跳舞以示庆贺。唉,但在实现政治团结、通过共同宪法、实施全球领导、展望世界未来、落实经济改革等一系列问题上,关于失败的谈论就从来没有中断过。值得悔恨的事情还有很多。欧洲重要评论家、前德国外长乔西卡·费舍尔(Joschka Fischer)说:“欧盟像一架无人驾驶的飞机那样,陷入了政治僵局和深层次的危机。”

但这样的焦虑和手足无措并不是那么令人信服。这一点看一看德国就知道了。第二次世界大战以后,德国被彻底打垮,变成了一座废墟,而且还留下了不良民族主义的屈辱历史。而今天,一个完全恢复原貌的德国与其他任何欧盟国家一样完完全全属于欧洲,彻彻底底奉行民主¾实际上,在安格拉·默克尔 (Angela Merkel)的领导下,德国已经登上了欧洲最重要国家的宝座。

而德国的转变在很大程度上应该归功于欧盟。战争结束后,控制民族主义、推动地区主义成了欧盟在德国的主要目标,这一目标最终实现也让所有的欧洲民众都获益匪浅。他们¾还有其他人,难道不应该庆祝这一重大的胜利,而却要反其道而行之,陷入危机和僵局等这些失败主义言论的泥潭?
