不让一个孩子掉队

首尔——在不久前访问土耳其一座叙利亚难民阵营时,我亲眼目睹了难民身上所表现出的超乎想象的人类忍耐力。但在所有的创伤和损失故事中,最深深打动我的却是这些难民家庭难以抑制地渴望教育。

和我谈话的孩子告诉我他们渴望在难民营的临时学校接受教育,临时学校从凌晨到天黑轮流上课,课堂上挤满了前来听课的孩子。他们的父母希望教育能够改变孩子未来的命运。

叙利亚以前曾夸口实现了普及教育。但现在,因为有400多万人被迫在国内冲突中背井离乡,叙利亚沦为世界上诸多只能用全面教育危机来形容的国家之一。全世界约有5,800万小学适龄儿童失学,其中受冲突和自然灾害影响的儿童最难以得到帮助。
