乌克兰决定性的选举

乌克兰的政治并非是大草原的政治。我们的选民不可能在不必担心精神错乱的情况下在某次选举中选择某一个方向,而在下一次选举中选择另一个截然相反的方向。乌克兰人是位于分水岭的人民,那就是说,我们生活在一个大分水岭的其中一端。

一年前,乌克兰人敢于承担山岭另一端并不熟悉的领域的风险,发现了民主以及一个更为开放和诚实的经济体的前途。但是,民主混乱不堪;由于尤先科总统推迟或者反悔了我们橙色革命中的某些许诺,因此,当3月26日乌克兰举行新的议会选举时,乌克兰人民可能出于失望而选择回到腐败和专制独裁的王国。

对于我的祖国、俄罗斯以及欧洲而言,选择是明显的。在三个彼此挑战的主要竞选联盟中,支持橙色革命的力量为我们的国家寻求一个现代和民主化的未来。其他势力则几乎肯定会把乌克兰带回到阴森而又邋遢的孤立之中。这也许是我们来之不易的独立结束的开始。
