وسرعان ما يُصاب المسؤولون التنفيذيون من ذوي الخبرة في الشركة بالإحباط في مواجهة الحرس الجديد، ويرحلون في غضون بضعة أشهر. ويغذي هذا الفرار شعورا أوسع بالخوف وعدم اليقين بين الجميع، من المستثمرين إلى الموظفين، ثم يتعزز هذا الشعور بعد أن يُصبِح من الواضح أن الرئيس التنفيذي لا يفي بالوعود التي بذلها خلال عملية المقابلة.
