5月1日,伴随着大型烟花表演,上海世博会拉开序幕,预计整个活动将延续到10月底。1970年,随着日本战后经济的快速崛起,随着日本新干线的正式开通,大阪世博会开幕。当前,世界正在关注着中国是否会延着日本的轨道,和平地完成国家现代化的进程。

对此我们深表疑虑。中国不仅在陆地上展示其威力;而且海军也雄心勃勃地开始扩张。事实上,当美国太平洋舰队总司令海军上将蒂莫西·基廷2007年访问中国之时,一名中国海军高级军官提议,中美两国应该划分夏威夷海域的管理界限,以此限制美国海军势力范围,开启中国海军的新征程。我们有理由相信,中国海军正朝着这个方向积极努力。
