阿拉伯民主之路

发自耶路撒冷——在法国大革命的动乱时期曾经流传着这么一句话:“共和国是多么美妙啊——我指的是君主制下的那个。”这场原本为了实现自由,民主和博爱的大革命最终为法国(以及欧洲大部分地区)带来了雅各宾专政,右翼势力反专政,持续数年的内战以及独裁者拿破仑的最终上台。而如今随着一系列阿拉伯国家先后爆发大规模动荡,北非和中东地区也面临着同样的挑战。

从历史上看,如今在阿拉伯世界发生的一切堪称史无前例。这是头一次有阿拉伯专制政权被推翻,还有一批政权在大规模民众自由民主示威中发生了动摇。阿拉伯国家的政权一直以来都是通过军事政变以及其他形式的暴动实现更替,还从未出现过这种人民革命的形式。

在1990年代的民主浪潮期间,东欧,拉美,撒哈拉以南非洲和东南亚地区都相继有独裁政权被推翻,但北非和中东却置身事外。如今这两大区域的政治惰性已被打破,位于开罗的解放广场也成为了希望以及“人民力量”的象征。
