奥巴马效应

发自伦敦——在过去的两个月间,我曾经到过波士顿、纽约、华盛顿、休斯顿、芝加哥、洛杉矶、旧金山和西雅图等8个美国城市。而这些经历给我留下了诸多感想。

首先,如果你不得不在美国各个城市间旅行,那么最好选择坐火车。美国的航空公司是相当糟糕的。而他们之所以如此幸运的原因,则是因为在这个自我标榜为自由市场资本主义老家的国度里,对市场竞争的敌视竟能将所有亚洲航空公司隔绝在国门之外。不知美国国内的乘客是否意识到自己所得到的服务究竟有多差劲呢?

美国航空公司的服务和英国的一样让人倒胃口,或许更糟。如果要评最差的,那么洛杉矶机场堪称独占鳌头,比如通过安检时人们排成的长队简直跟苏联时期有得一比。美国怎么能在贡献给我们硅谷奇迹的同时却在使用堪比第三世界国家的基础设施呢?
