朝鲜的核武器计划已经困扰了全世界近二十年。平壤当局背弃了《核不扩散条约》的义务,并在1990年代初秘密重新提炼了足够的钚元素并制造了两颗原子弹。在1994年退出了由美国克林顿政府调停的限制性协议之后,朝鲜驱逐了国际原子能机构的监察人员并开始重新提炼核废料,生产了出足以另造6颗原子弹的钚。
