中东民主的几个关键字

发自伦敦—目前中东仍然是全世界独裁程度最高的地区。而2009年则似乎是民主在此地生根发芽的一年——但说到民主的前途,却还是跟从前一样黯淡。

在巴勒斯坦境内,通过民主选举产生的加沙地区哈马斯政府,以及同样通过民主方式选出的巴勒斯坦民主权力机构主席这两派人马似乎纠缠成了一个死结,以致他们只能眼睁睁地看着加沙地区滑向经济黑洞以及陷入瘫痪,并因此给以色列的拒绝让步留下了空间。而与此同时,人们所期待的政治救星马尔万·巴尔古提却正在以色列的监狱里服刑,并且判的是终身监禁。

就在差不多同一个时期,伊朗的总统大选结果也受到了操纵,而这不但引发了统治精英阶层的内部分裂,还使得统治者们比自1980年代两伊战争以来的任何时候都更为多疑和孤立。而在隔壁的阿富汗,现任总统同样也决定不拿自己的连任机会去冒险——也不会把决定权交给阿富汗人民。
