Téngase cuenta que los extremistas violentos tienen sus "comités de relaciones con los medios de comunicación" encaminados a manipular la opinión de las minorías selectas. Idean y preparan ataques para conseguir titulares recurriendo a todas las clases de medios de comunicación con vistas a intimidar y quebrar la voluntad colectiva de los pueblos libres.

Saben que las comunicaciones transcienden las fronteras y que una sola crónica, manejada hábilmente, puede hacer tanto daño a nuestra causa –y ser tan útil a la suya—como cualquier ataque militar y tienen la capacidad para actuar con rapidez con un número relativamente pequeño de personas y con recursos modestos en comparación con las enormes y onerosas burocracias de los gobiernos democráticos.
