纽约——去年春天当突尼斯内政部附近的墙上出现“谢谢你,Facebook”的涂鸦时,其意义远远超出了对推动该国起义的这家社交媒体公司的赞许。这标志着人们对突尼斯革命中共同经历的庆祝——2011年爆发的其他很多历史性的抗议和革命其基础也在于这种共同的经历。

正如我们为新著《从开罗到华尔街:全球春天之音》收集文章时所发现的那样,抗议活动新阶段最主要的特点是将愿望与跨社区、城市、国家、甚至是大洲的联系能力衔接在一起。在撰稿者所在国家,所有抗议活动都渗透着对共同命运和全球社会的全新认识。社交媒体技术起到了推波助澜的作用;此外还有对公共空间的重新定义,以及认为思想多元化好过教条主义——合作行为本身及其所取得的结果拥有同等的重要性。

因此抗议活动全球化策略不仅仅是一场政治革命,同时也是一场思想革命。
