竞争力已成为当前时代的经济热词。一月份巴拉克•奥巴马总统在国家联盟会议上发表演讲,对此大肆渲染。欧洲领导人包括英国托利党领袖大卫•卡梅伦和西班牙社会党领袖何塞•路易斯•萨帕特罗以及日本新任经济部长与谢野馨也将提高竞力作为工作的重中之重。我们不禁要问,他们所谓的“竞争力”到底指的是什么?

2007年9月美联储前任主席格林斯潘曾接受过一次采访,当被问到欧洲各国政府是否应该放松对国家劳务法规的限制时,他回答说,欧洲现行的劳动保护法极大地阻碍了经济的正常运转,并导致整个欧洲大陆失业率居高不下。在美国,虽然工人被解雇的机率比其他任何国家都要高,但其失业率却又是全世界最低的。
