法国人权事务国务秘书拉马·亚德指出联合国“保护责任”的原则应该适用于缅甸,如果必要的话可以强制适用。而马来西亚反对派领导林吉祥则说亚洲国家不作为“影响了所有东盟领导人和政府的声誉。他们绝对可以做更多的事情。”
