巴尔干的收官之战

发自罗马——在南斯拉夫解体以及阿尔巴尼亚共产政权倒台整整20年后,西巴尔干地区又走到了另一个历史转折点上。斯洛文尼亚已经成功加入欧盟,而克罗地亚距欧盟成员国资格也只有一步之遥,该区域其他国家也已先后启动了入盟进程。但这一积极进程背后却依然潜藏着半途而废的危险。

事实上,虽然入盟进程已经为巴尔干各国带来了民主和稳定,但这项至关重要的工作还远未结束,甚至无法确定能否圆满完成。经济危机致使该地区民众对未来的和平与增长失去了信心,使人担心整合进程会否因此步履维艰。

整体来看,整个西巴尔干地区确实取得了显著的进步。亲欧洲政府已经遍布整个地区。最近的波斯尼亚大选显示出选民投票依然是以种族为导向。而我们的任务就是要在新任波斯尼亚领导层的配合下将这种心态扭转过来,并最终转化为经典的欧洲式思维方式。
