发自纽波特滩——当前西方社会中充斥的不确定感不仅是人们的感受,同时也是事实。人们都在为自己的未来忧心不已,还有相当数量的人害怕儿女的境遇可能会更糟。但不幸的是,未来几个月的情况将更加动荡。

美国经济在恢复高增长并大量创造就业方面举步维艰。成千上万人涌上欧美各大城市街头要求建立一个更加公平的体制。欧元区的经济危机已经掀翻了两个国家的民选政府,取而代之的则是掌控复苏进程的技术官僚。建构现代欧洲的关键之处就是欧元区体制整合,而各界对此的关注程度也日渐增加。

这种不缺定性同时还跨越了不同国家和区域。那些担心自身未来的人同时也对全球金融秩序的稳定感到忧心,因为这个秩序的西方核心所面对的难题正逐渐扩散到全球公共产品之上。
