发自纽约——在九月末,全美的报刊版面都充斥着关于妇女幸福感的统计数据。一位叫马库斯·白金汉的商业咨询师指出,这些统计数据显示在过去40年中妇女的幸福感在下降。而那些博客,新闻报刊以及日间脱口秀节目则被一种看法所困扰着,那就是女权主义——所有的自由和选择的权利——实际令女性变得越来越沮丧。

实际上,那些受访妇女其实是告诉白金汉所引用的那些调查者说,她们对生活的很多方面“感到不满意”。而如果说在过去40年中西方女性究竟学到了点什么,那就是如何对现状感到不满——这也是我们在输出西方女权主义价值观时,其他国家的人们必须明白的,非常重要的一点。

但不管究竟是好是坏,西方“意识觉醒”的理念其实也包括了教导女性如何感到不满意。
