斯托克霍姆—在经历了几十年或多或少稳定的规则和可预测的模式后,瑞典政治在最近几周进入了未知领域。许多人震惊于政府崩溃、不得不在执政仅仅两个月后就举行新选举。毕竟,自2008年全球金融危机以来,瑞典一直是欧洲罕见的成功明灯。那么,到底发生了什么?

政府倒台的直接原因是议会拒绝了中左翼联盟的预算方案,而支持此前执政的中右翼联盟提出的预算。没能让其首个预算得到批准的政府决不能像什么都没发生过那样继续执政了。预算没能通过的原因是极右翼的瑞典民主党(Swedish Democrats)突然决定支持中右翼联盟的方案。

这一事件的背景要追溯到9月的选举,当时,有四个政党组成的中右翼联盟在执政八年(我在此期间担任外交部长)后在选举中败北。中又以联盟政府被广泛认为是成功的,但在政治界,八年是一个很长的时期了。
