圣保罗——作为一种出于好意的作秀,“地球一小时”(Earth Hour)活动难逢对手。327日周六,晚上8:30,超过120个国家的将近10亿群众关灯一小时,以表达为应对全球变暖出一份力的心愿。一些国家的政府为了显示对这一活动的支持,也熄灭了地标性建筑的照明灯光,从悉尼歌剧院到胡夫金字塔,以及北京的紫禁城、纽约的帝国大厦、伦敦的大本钟、巴黎的艾菲尔铁塔乃至香港和拉斯维加斯的摩天大厦。

姑且不论其他意义,“地球一小时”肯定是人类能想象出来的最成功的大众行为艺术之一。2007年,它在澳大利亚悉尼搞了第一次,由世界自然基金会(WWF)悉尼分会发起,近年来,它的流行程度和(个人与政府的)公众参与度呈爆炸式增长,以至于其足迹几乎遍及世界各个角落。正如WWF澳大利亚分会CEO格雷格·伯恩(Greg Bourne)所言:“从卡萨布兰卡的大饭店到纳米比亚、坦桑尼亚的狩猎营地,都有人参与我们的活动。”

可是,“地球一小时”真的能起什么作用,阻止——哪怕减缓全球变暖吗?恐怕不能。
