انحدار الارتقاء الطبقي

نيويورك –ان المخاوف المتعلقة بانعدام المساواة الاقتصادية موجودة في كل مكان . ان المسألة هنا هي ليست انعدام المساواة بين البلدان والتي قلت في واقع الامر في العقود الاخيرة حيث يعود معظم الفضل في ذلك الى معدلات النمو الاعلى وارتفاع معدلات العمر في العديد من البلدان الناشئة (وخاصة الصين والهند) . ان المسألة في واقع الامر هذه الايام هي انعدام المساواة – والتي يطلق عليها احيانا تفاوت الدخل –ضمن البلدان.

ان احد الاسباب هو ان مشكلة انعدام المساواة هي مشكلة حقيقية وهي تزداد سوءا في العديد من الأماكن وفي العقود الأخيرة أصبحت الثروة والدخل مركزة اكثر في قمة الهرم- أي ما يسمى نسبة 1%- بينما الدخول الحقيقية ومستويات المعيشة للفقراء والطبقة الوسطى في العديد من الدول النامية لم تتغير او انحدرت.

لقد كان الوضع كذلك قبل الازمة المالية العالمية سنة 2008 ولكن الازمة وما تبعها (بما في ذلك مستويات اعلى ولفترات طويلة من البطالة ) قد جعلت الامور تزداد سوءا وبالرغم من بعض الاستثناءات البارزة في شمال اوروبا واجزاء من امريكا اللاتينية فإن ارتفاع انعدام المساواة قد اثر على الدول المتقدمة والدول النامية على حد سواء.
