记住和忘却赵紫阳

中国前总理兼共产党总书记赵紫阳终于去世了,但他在位时力主的政治议程早在1989年9月19日他在黎明前来到天安门广场,声泪俱下地请求对抗议者手下留情的时候就已经不复存在了。“我很抱歉,”他对目瞪口呆的人群说。“我来得太晚了。”从那以后,他的存在更像一头史前怪兽,而不是一个活生生的人。

当他在天安门广场离奇的突然露面第二天一早在中央电视台播出的时候¾那也是中国无需媒体审查的最后时刻¾全中国人都对这位官员转瞬即逝的真情流露感到震惊。毕竟,党的领导人很少当众表露感情,更别说像赵紫阳一样明目张胆的越过党的界线了。这样的人既不符合列宁主义者对高官行为的准则,也远远超出了中国传统的禁权主义者所坚持的标准。

人们在言论和集会自由方面的猛烈行动持续了几个星期,随着6月3-4日晚的镇压最终结束,赵紫阳也就此消失,被吸入了中国“社会主义解放”以来曾让无数领导人踪迹全无的党的记忆空洞之中。令民主世界蒙羞的是,几乎没有国家领导人出面替赵紫阳说话,至少要求对这种非法、不道德的封杀行动做出解释。相反,赵紫阳一直处在一种假死状态,被软禁在自己的宅邸,就像那些没有复苏希望的被冷冻的名人一样,很快就被人们遗忘了。
